El Cardenal Rojo es un ave muy estudiada ¿Por su llamativo color? ¿Por ser muy común en ciertas regiones? La evidencia indica que esta especie experimenta una divergencia entre las poblaciones de los desiertos de Norteamérica, y que los ambientes urbanos le han llevado a formar clanes con ciertas particularidades en sus vocalizaciones
